More Than 80
Student-Athletes On Fall HL Academic
Honor Roll
Indianapolis, Ind. -- Youngstown
State placed 82 student-athletes -
the second-highest among conference
schools -- on the Horizon League's
Fall Academic Roll, the league
announced late last week. Overall, a
group of 624 student-athletes from
the 10 Horizon League schools were
citied for academic achievement.
YSU was second behind Valparaiso (87) in the total number of
student-athletes selections. The
women's track and field program led
the way for Youngstown State with 15
student-athletes qualifying for the
honor roll.
Candidates for the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll must
meet three criteria in order to
qualify: 1) participation in at
least one of the league’s 19 sports
during the most recent (or current)
season; 2) completion of three
semesters (or four quarters, where
applicable) as a full-time student
at the same member institution; and
3) a cumulative grade-point average
of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale)
as of Dec. 31, 2007.
