Baseball Picked to Finish Fifth in Horizon League Coaches Poll

    Youngstown -- The Youngstown State baseball team has been picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League in 2010, according to a preseason poll of the league's coaches released on Wednesday.
    Wright State, which won the 2009 league tournament, was unanimously selected to win the regular season title. UIC was picked to finish second despite winning eight consecutive regular season crowns. Release

Aquadro, Penguins Coaches Serve Community as Season Approaches

    Youngstown -- As the 2010 baseball season approaches in five weeks, Youngstown State freshman pitcher Blake Aquadro and the YSU baseball coaches have been active in the community.
    Aquadro volunteered at two "Hitting on the Cross" baseball camps over the winter break that taught baseball skills and life lessons with a religious center. Release
Seven Baseball Players Sign NLIs to Attend Youngstown State
Head Coach Rich Pasquale       Youngstown -- Three infielders, two outfielders and two pitchers have signed an NLI to continue their baseball and academic careers at YSU, Penguins head coach Rich Pasquale announced.
    Poland High's Phil Lipari joins infielders Drew Dosch and Daniel Hurlimann while Hermitage, Pa., native David Saluga and Chris Mitko are the outfielders. The pitchers are Nicolas Manuppelli and Triantafyllos Krokos. Release
