Penguins Ink Two Pitchers, Outfielder
    Youngstown -- YSU Baseball Coach Mike Florak announced on Thursday that Gary Hinkson (Hermitage, Pa.), Charles Schultz (Columbus, Ohio) and Eric Shaffer (Akron, Ohio) have signed national letters of intent to play baseball at Youngstown State.
    Florak said all three individuals will be counted on to make an impact with the program.
    "These are outstanding first-class kids," Florak said. "All three have a good chance to eventually be major contributors in their careers and we are very excited about them signing with YSU."
    Hinkson is a left-handed outfielder from Hickory High School in Hermitage, Pa., Schultz is a right-handed pitcher from Thomas Worthington High School in Columbus, Shaffer is a 6-foot-3 left-handed pitcher from Garfield High School in Akron.
