Shaffer Named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week
Indianapolis, Ind. -- Freshman
lefthander Eric Shaffer was named
the Horizon League's Pitcher of the
Week for the period ending April 20
for his performance against
Cleveland State, league contact Mike
Ingberg announced.
Shaffer picked up his third win of the season and the first
Horizon League victory of his career
in a complete game victory over
Cleveland State on Friday evening.
He allowed just five hits and one
run while striking out a career-high
nine Vikings.
After allowing the run, Shaffer retired 10 straight
at one point in the contest and
retired the final eight batters of
the game. |
