Phillips Earns Austin Regional All-Tournament Team Honors
Youngstown -- Youngstown State
junior third baseman Jim Phillips
was named to the 2004 NCAA Austin
Regional All-Tournament team for his
efforts against the Texas Longhorns
and the TCU Horned Frogs, the
University of Texas Media Relations
Department announced.
Phillips hit .714 (5-for-7) with two home runs, two RBIs and
five runs scored in two games at the
regional tournament. The
junior went 2-for-4 with a double
and a run scored against the
Longhorns on Friday and added a
3-for-3 performance that included
two homers and a double against the
Frogs on Saturday. |
