Lucas Engle Named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week

    Indianapolis -- Youngstown State junior Lucas Engle has been named the year's final Horizon League Pitcher of the Week for his solid outing against Cleveland State, the League announced Monday.
    Engle, a right-hander from Marysville, Ohio, had what appeared to be a three-hit shutout against the Vikings before a bad-hop single with two outs in the ninth inning. CSU went on to score one earned run and two unearned runs in the inning, but Engle earned his fourth win and struck out eight.
    Engle retired 14 straight hitters at one point and mowed down the Vikings in order in four innings.
    This is the first time Engle has been named the Pitcher of the Week.
