Morehead, Ky. -- Youngstown State scored five
two-out runs in game one and erupted for seven runs in the seventh in game two
in a doubleheader sweep of Morehead State on Saturday.
The Eagles went up 2-0 in both games but led for only a half

six innings to get the win in game one while Lucas Engle allowed three runs in
four innings to earn his second win of the week in game two.
YSU got clutch hits by Brent Parks and Ryan Dunlap to score
five of its seven runs with two outs in game one. After the Eagles got two runs
on one hit in the first, Parks hit a three-run homer in the second to give YSU a
one-run lead.
MSU tied it with a run in the third, but YSU scored two in
the third on a bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly to go up 5-3. Dunlap hit a
pinch hit two-run single in the seventh for the final tally.
Andy Svitak came on with runners on first and second to get a
strikeout and a game-ending double play for his second save.
Donald Cheney hit a two-run homer in the first to put the
Eagles up in game two before Deidrich's two-run bomb tied the game in the
second.
The Penguins got four runs on two hits in the third, but the
Eagles scored one in the fourth and two in the sixth to get within one. YSU then
scored seven runs on six hits and an error for the final.
