Earns Honorable Mention Freshman All
Ping! Honors

freshman outfielder Joe Iacobucci
has earned honorable mention honors
on the All Ping! Freshman Team.
Iacobucci, a native of Boardman, Ohio, batted a team-high
.369 and tied for the team lead in
RBIs with 33. Teammate Tom Clayton
earned the same honor last season in
the first year of the All Ping!
accolades.
Iacobucci previously earned Second Team All-Horizon League
honors as well as being named to the
league's all-newcomer team. He
ranked seventh in the conference in
batting average, and his .375
average against league opponents
ranked 10th.
Iacobucci played in 52 games primarily in left field and had
at least two hits in 17 contests,
including two four-hit affairs
against Kent State and IUP. He
scored 29 times and had 65 hits, 16
of which went for extra bases. He
had a 16-game hitting streak until
being held in check in the final
game of the season.
