Horizon League Release | CollegeBaseballInsider.com Preview

Youngstown -- The Youngstown State baseball team has been picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League in 2010, according to a preseason poll of the league's coaches released on Wednesday.

Wright State, which won the 2009 Horizon League Tournament, was unanimously selected to win the regular season title. UIC was picked to finish second despite winning eight consecutive regular season crowns.

Milwaukee was predicted to finish third, and Valparaiso was picked fourth. Cleveland State and Butler were picked to finish sixth and seventh.

YSU starting pitchers Aaron Swenson and Phil Klein were recognized by the Horizon League's coaches in a preseason questionnaire conducted by College Baseball Insider. Swenson was voted as one of the top three starting pitchers in the conference, and Klein was selected as the pitcher opposing coaches least want to face.

Eastwood Field, along with Wright State's Nischwitz Stadium, was selected by the league's coaches as their favorite road stadium.
