P.J. Mays Places Fifth In Rushing Average

State senior tailback P.J. Mays
finished fifth in Division I-AA for
the 2002 season averaging 116.73
yards rushing per contest, the NCAA
announced recently.
Mays, who finished 12th in 2001 following a 131.45 average,
was behind Austin Peay senior Jay
Bailey (140.58), Eastern Illinois
senior J.R. Taylor (126.83), Albany
junior Gary Jones (125.75) and
Liberty sophomore Verondre Barnes
(118.55). |
