passes for a percentage of 59.7…has thrown for 1,949 yards, averaging 177.2
per contest…threw 14 touchdowns passes for the season, including a
school-record-tying four at Liberty…had three touchdown pass versus
WKU…season and career-high 291 yards at Southern Illinois…tied the school
record with six 200-plus yard passing games (Ron Jaworski, 1972)…directed
the Penguins to an 8-3 mark and 5-2 league record.
LS/SS Tanner Dunlap,

Started all but one game during his four year career as the Penguins’
snapper on punts and placement kicks…started every game this season at his
position…one of just two Division I-AA players to participate in ROTC and
play football…recorded three tackles...YSU has missed just three PAT kicks
the past three years…named Special Teams Player of the Game at
Pittsburgh...also a platoon leader in the National Guard in charge of 45
troops.
WR Jameson Evans, 6-3,

Played in 10 games and started four contests…second on the team in
receptions with 27 and yards with 368…averaged 13.8 yards per catch…in
Gateway play had 21 catches for 285 yards…caught a touchdown pass at
Liberty…had career-high six catches for career-best 74 yards at SIU…had 65
yards on four grabs at Indiana State, including season-long 38-yarder…had a
reception in nine of 10 games played...transferred from Purdue prior to the
2004 season.

Named 2005 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Second-Team Academic All-District
IV…started 10 games at center…missed season finale against WKU because of an
injury…named YSU Offensive Lineman of the Game at team-high three times
(Slippery Rock, Illinois State, Western Illinois)…named offensive player of
the game at Pittsburgh…led offensive line with four winning performances…YSU
averaged 191.6 yards rushing and 190.6 yards passing along with 27.8 points
per game.
DE Justin Scholes, 6-1,

Named 2004 and 2005 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Second-Team Academic
All-District IV…named second-team academic All-Gateway in 2004…started all
11 games at defensive end…team leader with 5.5 sacks and tied for the team
lead with 10.5 tackles for losses…recorded 41 total tackles, including 24
solo stops…had a team-high four forced fumbles…had two sacks at Southern
Illinois…had season-high six tackles against Missouri State and Illinois
State…of his 41 tackles, 30 came in Gateway play.
