High School: Was a first-team Ohio Division II all-state selection as a defensive lineman...named a first-team All-Northeast Inland District selection...finished the year with 68 tackles, including 10 for losses and seven sacks...had three fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles...also a first-team All-Metro Athletic Conference selection as a tight end...caught 10 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns...tabbed a first-team All-Northeast Ohio selection as a defensive lineman and was honorable mention as a tight end...Cardinals finished with an 8-3 record...season ended with a 42-37 loss to Pickerington Central in the Division II Region 7 quarterfinals...Canfield trailed 42-14 before pulling within five points...had a touchdown reception in that contest...his junior year, Canfield reached the state championship game finishing with a 14-1 record...coach was Mike Pavlansky...also plays basketball and baseball.
