2009: Named first-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference as a wide receiver...set school record with 77 receptions...tied school record for receptions in a game on two occasions with 11 against Missouri State and Southern Illinois...also caught 10 passes in season-finale win at North Dakota State...finished with 790 yards and six touchdowns...receiving yardage was most by a Penguin since 1999...averaged 71.8 yards per contest...had two touchdown receptions against Austin Peay...also caught TD passes versus Missouri State, Western Illinois, Illinois State and North Dakota State...finished with a season-high 130 yards versus MSU...had 64 receptions for 653 yards in eight conference games...collected 30 receptions of 10 yards or more...caught 35 passes that went for first downs...caught at least three passes in every game...also had 105 yards in seven catches vs. Illinois State...season-long grab of 39 yards came against the Redbirds...named John Delserone MVP...77 catches rank as the fifth most in a season in MVFC history...first wide receiver to serve as team captain since 1992...earned his second letter.
 

2008: Named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference's All-Newcomer Team...played in all 12 games, starting eight contests...caught 31 passes for a team-best 510 yards and team-high seven touchdowns...most touchdown receptions by a Penguin in a season since 1998...became first YSU player with touchdown catches in four straight games since Herb Williams in 1992...six of seven TD receptions came in conference play...averaged 16.5 yards per reception...20 receptions were for first downs...had a season-high six receptions against Indiana State...posted a high of 136 yards at Illinois State...in final four games of season caught 16 passes for 351 yards and five touchdowns...had three receptions in first four games before making 28 grabs in final eight...also had just 15 catches for 159 yards and two scores in first eight games...caught seven passes of 25 yards or longer...had a season-long 67-yarder for a score at Illinois State...against the Sycamores caught six passes for 75 yards and two scores...had scoring grabs of 10 yards in the second quarter and 23 in the third...had five catches for 74 yards and a touchdown against Liberty...touchdown grab came in the fourth quarter...had receptions of 27 and 26 yards in the game...caught four passes for 136 yards and a score at Illinois State...had grabs of 67, 31, 30 and eight against the Redbirds...total was the most by a Penguin wide receiver in 2008...had four catches for 82 yards and a touchdown at Western Illinois...snared a 38-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter...also had a 24-yard catch in the fourth...caught three passes for 22 yards at Southern Utah...had two receptions for 58 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter against UNI...had two grabs for 14 yards at Missouri State...had two catches for 16 yards against Southern Illinois...caught single passes against Ohio State, North Dakota State and Central State...credited with 542 offensive snaps played for the season...second most among wide receivers...had a high of 71 plays at Illinois State...also played 69 against Indiana State...received Derek Pixley Hit of the Game honor against Missouri State and Illinois State...earned his first letter.

 

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Led the team with 42 receptions for 748 yards...caught five touchdown passes...averaged 17.8 yards per catch...season-long grab was 75 yards...had six rushing attempts for 38 yards...also threw two passes...returned four punts for 45 yards...long was 19 yards...team was 7-3 his sophomore year...named team’s Offensive MVP...team was 10-0 his freshman year...Falcons won the Valley of the Sun Bowl beating Glendale CC 17-16 to complete perfect season...coach was Mark Duda.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior, earned all-state, all-area, All-Group 4 and All-Watchung Conference honors...was named as one of the Super 100...coach was Clinton Jones...also played baseball.

 

PERSONAL: Parents are Donald Jones III and Lesley Tyler...has two brothers and a sister...born Dec. 17, 1987...major is communication studies...2009-10 recipient of the Arnold D. Stambaugh Scholarship.
