Formeck Earns League Honors for Second Consecutive Week

   Indianapolis -- For the second time in as many weeks, the Horizon League has announced that Youngstown State sophomore golfer Samantha Formeck has been tabbed the Horizon League Female Golfer of the Week following her runner-up performance at the NIU Snowbird.
    Formeck led the Penguins to a second-place finish at the event by shooting a two-round total of 155 (80-75), missing medalist honors by only two strokes. Release
Men's Golf Finishes 13th in Spring Debut at Jackrabbit Invitational
      Primm, NV. -- The Youngstown State men's golf team opened their spring season with a 13th-place finish in the three-round, 54-hole, South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational that concluded on Tuesday at Primm Valley Golf Course.
    The Penguins fired a team total of 927 (309-314-304) and were led by sophomore Anthony Conn, who carded a three-round total of 230 (81-76-73) to finish 40th. Release | Results
Formeck, Penguins Finish Second at NIU Snowbird
      Tampa, Fla. -- The limited amount of time off between tournaments was no problem for the Youngstown State women's golf team as they tied for second-place on Thursday in the two-round NIU Snowbird Intercollegiate at Pebblecreek Golf Course and Country Club.
    The Penguins as a team shot a two-round total of 650 (322-328) to tie with Indiana State. Release | Results

    Youngstown -- The Horizon League announced on Thursday that Youngstown State sophomore golfer Samantha Formeck has been named the Horizon League Female Golfer of the Week after her strong performance at the Don Benbow Invitational in the spring season opener.
    Formeck was the top finisher for the Penguins and led the Penguins to a fifth-place finish. Release

      Jacksonville Beach, Fla. -- The Youngstown State women’s golf team opened up their spring season with a fifth-place finish in the eleven team field at the Don Benbow Invitational on Tuesday.
