Women’s Golf:
Penguins, Formeck Claim Top Spots at
RMU Invitational

The YSU women's golf team concluded
their fall season on a winning note
as the Penguins finished in first
place and freshman Samantha Formeck
won medalist honors at the Robert
Morris Invitational on Tuesday at
Montour Heights Country Club.
As a team, the Penguins finished with a two round total of
648 (321-327), and won the event by
17 strokes over second-place
finisher IUPUI.
Individually, all five Penguin golfers finished in the top
10. Formcek shot a 160 (81-79), and
has won medalist honors three times
this season. Senior Mollie Boney
finished in second, one stroke
behind Formeck, after shooting a 161
(78-83).
Sophomore Katie Rogner finished the
event in fifth after firing a 165
(81-84).
Junior Ann Ciavarella
carded a two-round total of 167
(81-86), finishing in seventh. One
stroke behind in eighth place was
junior Brittany Stillwagon, who shot
a 168 (87-81).
The Penguins are off until they
return in March to start the spring
season.
