Amy Raabe, MS, RDN, LDN, is a Registered Dietitian who specializes in sports dietetics and Medical Nutrition Therapy for athletes and active populations in both Northeastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. She is working with the YSU baseball team for the first time in the 2017-18 academic year.
Raabe is a full-time faculty member at Youngstown State University. At YSU, she instructs and supervises students enrolled in the three ACEND-Accredited dietetics programs and serves as the Director of the Dietetic Technician Program. She has spearheaded a community outreach project at nearby Austintown High School, where she and her senior dietetics students work with players and coaches to provide nutrition education geared toward optimizing performance for high school athletes.
With her continued focus on the field of sports nutrition, Raabe is able to pursue the requirements for credentialing as a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. She is qualified and credentialed to create custom nutrition plans to support people at many levels of fitness.
Raabe earned her baccalaureate and graduate degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she practiced as a Sports Nutritionist for the varsity athletic teams, coaches, and trainers.
