Penguins Fall to the Red Flash, 2-0
    Loretta, Pa. --
 The Youngstown State women's soccer team (1-3) lost a hard fought battle to St. Francis (Pa.) (2-0) by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Stokes Soccer Complex.
    St. Francis (Pa.) opened up the first half with a score by junior Lauren Popovich. The unassisted goal came from 12 yards out at 9:58 into play.
    The Red Flash came back quickly with the second score of the game less than two minutes later. Alyssa Kersey made the goal off the far post from a corner kick six yards out.
    The Penguins only shot in the first half came from Jordan Gapczynski that was just wide of the net.  
   Junior Tessa Brookman made a shot on goal for YSU early in the second half followed by a shot from Keeley Rice that was also saved.
    Carrie Wack made the Penguins final attempt to score at 84:32 into the game marking the final save for St. Francis (Pa.) goalkeeper Melanie Stockman.
    Penguins goalkeeper Caitlin Bodzioney had a total of five saves for the game while Stockman finished with three
    YSU will be back on the road on Friday to take on Bowling Green at 4 p.m.
