Softball to Hold Free Youth Clinic

    Youngstown -- The Youngstown State softball program will hold a free youth clinic, Saturday, Sept. 20, at McCune Park in Canfield, Ohio, to kick-off its annual Hit-A-Home Run Through Recycling Drive, Head Coach Brian Campbell announced on Thursday.
    The clinic, which will run from 10 a.m. to Noon, is open for students from eighth to 12th grade and is limited to 150 participants. Participants are urged to bring any used softball equipment for the recycling drive.
    During the clinic, athletes will work on throwing, field, and hitting fundamentals.
    Along with the YSU free softball clinic, the Penguins the Penguins football team hosts North Dakota State on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m. while the softball team hosts the YSU Fall Softball Classic on Sunday, Sept. 21, at McCune Park.
