Youngstown State, 2003
Entering her second as an assistant coach with the Youngstown State
softball program is former Penguin Zetta Dumkrieger, who played for the
Penguins from 2002-03.
Dumkrieger, who will work with the Penguins outfielders, was a two-year
letterwinner at Youngstown State after transferring from Coastal
Carolina and helped the Penguins to school-best 36-17-1 record in 2003.
During the 2002 campaign, Dumkrieger hit .273 with six
doubles and one home run. In her two seasons at YSU, Dumkrieger started
97 consecutive games in right field for the Penguins.
She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Youngstown State in
2003.
