The Youngstown State football coaching staff will host a Youth Football Clinic on Saturday, June 11 at Stambaugh Stadium. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages 8-13. Cost of the camp is $45 per individual.
Campers will receive lunch, a YSU football hat and get the chance to interact with coaching staff on what will be a fun-filled day.
Check in for the camp will be held from 8-8:45 a.m. in the North Parking Lot (F-7) of Stambaugh Stadium.
Offensive drills and skills will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. with the first session of "Penguin Ball" going from 10:30-11 a.m. From 11-12:30 p.m. the group will break for lunch in the football classrooms. Coaches will talk about football and show videos.
The afternoon session will be defense related. Defensive drills will be conducted from 12:30-2 p.m. with the second session of "Penguin Ball" going from 2-2:30 p.m. Head Coach Eric Wolford will address the group at 2:30 p.m. Campers can be picked up from F-7 Parking Lot at 3 p.m.
This is a non-contact camp designed to give some children a chance to participate in drills.. Campers need to wear comfortable workout clothes, tennis shoes or football cleats. A positive attitude is a must.
There will be no walk-up registrations allowed. All participants must either register online or submit a registration form to the football office prior to Thursday, June 9.
