St. Louis, Mo. -- Youngstown State senior guard Lamar Mady has been recognized as the Missouri Valley Football Conference's Offensive Lineman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Mady was tabbed the Offensive Lineman of the Game for his performance in the victory over South Dakota. Mady played all 72 snaps at left guard during the contest. He had a season-best 85 percent overall grade and earned an assignment grade of 97%. He had a season-high seven knockdown blocks against the Coyotes.
YSU TB Jamaine Cook, who was named the MVFC Offensive Player of the Week, rushed for a season-high 203 yards on 42 carries. It was just the 21st 200-yard rushing performance by an individual in school history.
The Penguins return to action on Saturday when they travel to Western Illinois.
