ESPN has reached an agreement with the Missouri Valley Football Conference to carry five games as part of a Game-of-the-Week package on ESPN3 during the 2012 college football season, the league announced on Monday.

Two of the five games slated to be carried this year are Youngstown State's Oct. 6 visit to North Dakota State and the Penguins' Oct. 13 contest at Illinois State. The other three contests are Indiana State at Southern Illinois, South Dakota at Indiana State and UNI at South Dakota.

A complete update on the 2012 Youngstown State football television schedule will be announced in the near future. The Sept. 1 season opener at Pittsburgh will be carried exclusively on ESPN3.com.

Missouri Valley Football Commissioner Patty Viverito states, "The availability of these games on ESPN3 allows fans to watch live events across multiple screens, whether that's through Xbox LIVE on your TV screen, or while on the go on your smartphone, tablet or laptop. ESPN3 has established itself as a standalone network with mainstream appeal in a fast-paced digital media world. We're pleased with our growing relationship."

As part of the agreement, ESPN3 will carry at least five college football games from the Missouri Valley Football Conference beginning this season, and as many as 15 additional games that will be carried on ESPN3 -- as part of a cooperative effort between institutional production companies -- will be announced later. The games will also be on the WATCH ESPN App for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

The Penguins will once again have all games carried on the radio this fall with 570 WKBN AM in Youngstown as the flagship station.

Season tickets for the 2012 slate are on sale now by calling the YSU Athletic Ticket Office at (330) 941-1978.
