The Youngstown State football team will hold its first major scrimmage of the fall on Saturday morning at Stambaugh Stadium. The Guins had just one workout on Friday morning and will use the afternoon for meetings and prep for Saturday's key scrimmage.

Fifth-year offensive coordinator Shane Montgomery said he is anxious to see the quarterbacks get as many reps as possible as the Guins continue to evaluate that position. With some minor injuries, players on the second and third team will get a shot to play with the first team.

First-year defensive coordinator Jamie Bryant said a variety of individuals will get their opportunity as well during the scrimmage. Coach Bryant has stressed tackling well and forcing turnovers while making stops on third down.
