Princeton, N.J. -- The Youngstown State men's basketball team will participate in the 2012 Legends Classic, including a nationally-televised contest on ESPNU against SEC-member Georgia in the Athens Regional, Monday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m., the Gazelle Group announced.
The Penguins will also play in the Pittsburgh Subregional hosted by Duquesne University, Nov. 19-21. The Guins will face North Dakota State, Mon., Nov. 19, at 4:30 p.m., James Madison, Tues., Nov. 20, at 4:30 p.m. and Duquesne, Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m.
The Guins return nine letterwinners and three starters from last season's 16-15 squad that posted a 10-8 mark in the Horizon League. The returning starters include junior guard Kendrick Perry, who led the Horizon League with 16.8 points per game, senior guard Blake Allen (12.8 ppg) and senior forward Damian Eargle (11.1 ppg).
