Men's Basketball Celebrates Senior Night Saturday Against Northern Kentucky

Game Preview

• The Youngstown State men's basketball team will honor four seniors playing in their final home game when the Penguins host Northern Kentucky on Senior Night, Saturday, Feb. 18.

• Tipoff is at 7 p.m. at the Beeghly Center and the game will be broadcast on 570-AM WKBN, ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

• This is also part of a women's and men's basketball doubleheader.

• The Penguins will honor seniors Matt Donlan, Brett Frantz, Jorden Kaufman and Tyler Warford.

• This is the 13th meeting between Youngstown State and Northern Kentucky in a series that dates back to 1976.

• The Penguins own an 8-4 advantage in the all-time series, but the Norse won the last meeting, 83-70, on Jan. 5.

• The teams took a 33-year hiatus before resuming the series in 2014.

• YSU has won the last two meetings played at the Beeghly Center.

• The Penguins are coming off an 84-81 loss to Wright State on Feb. 16.

• Junior Cameron Morse scored 35 points on 13-of-23 shooting and four 3-pointers.

• Senior Jorden Kaufman tied a season high with 17 points.

• Head Coach Jerry Slocum has 720 career wins and became the 38th head coach in NCAA history to reach 700 wins.

• He ranks 35th on that list and is ninth on the active Division I coaches list.

• Junior Cameron Morse now ranks 18th all-time with 1,297 career points.

• Morse was just named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Feb. 13.
