Men's Basketball Welcomes Oakland to the Beeghly Center Thursday Night

• The Youngstown State men's basketball team continues its three-game Horizon League homestand when it hosts Oakland, Thursday, Feb. 2.
• Tipoff is at 7 p.m. at the Beeghly Center and the game will be broadcast on 570-AM WKBN, ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.
• This is the 17th meeting between Youngstown State and Oakland in a series that dates back to 1999. 
• The Golden Grizzlies lead the all-time series 11-5 and have won six of the last seven games.
• Last season, the Penguins won for the first time at the O'Rena, 100-98, while the Golden Grizzlies were victorious at the Beeghly Center, 107-85.
• The Penguins are coming off a hard-fought 67-64 win over in-state foe Cleveland State on Jan. 28.
• Junior Cameron Morse scored a game-high 23 points and made 8-of-10 free throws.
• Senior Brett Frantz added 17 points with three 3-pointers for the Penguins.
• Head Coach Jerry Slocum has 720 career wins and became the 38th head coach in NCAA history to reach 700 wins.
• He ranks 35th on that list and is ninth on the active Division I coaches list.
• Junior Cameron Morse became the 37th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points after scoring 13 against Northern Kentucky. 
• Morse now ranks 23rd all-time with 1,161 career points and needs 27 more to move into 21st place.
