Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. -- The Youngstown State men's golf team concluded action on Saturday at Horizon League Championships at the Mission Inn Resort. Through two rounds, YSU stands in eighth place.
On Saturday, Bryan Yeo had a team low round of 77. Anthony Conn shot a 78, Mark Olbrych had a 79, Shayne Wilson fired an 80 while Joe Santisi carded an 81. Yeo made a move improving five shots from his Friday total. Olbrych improved four shots while Wilson was better by three.
Yeo had two birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey during his round. Conn had one birdie, four bogeys and a double bogey. Wilson drained two birdies while Santisi and Olbyrch each had one.
For the event, Conn leads the Penguins in the standings with a two-round score of 153 (nine-over par).
Santisi has a two-round total of 156, Yeo has a total of 159, Olbrych stands at 162 while Wilson is at 163.
In the team race, YSU has a two-round score of 629 after carding a 314 on Saturday. YSU was tied for sixth place after day one with a 315. Wright State sits in seventh with a 625 while Butler is sixth with a 618. Loyola, which was one stroke after Friday, shot a blistering 291 to get into title contention.
The final round for the Championships is Sunday.
