Penguins Earn 4-3 Victory Over Lamar

Hammond, La. - The Youngstown State men's tennis team defeated Lamar 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon at the Southeastern Tennis Center. YSU won the doubles point and won three of four singles matches.

The Penguins (6-4) took a 1-0 lead as Sebastian Hagn and Dawoud Kabli won at No. 1 doubles (8-3) while Silviu Mistrean and Felipe Rosa were victorious at No. 3 (8-2).

In singles play, Mistreanu earned a 6-3, 6-4 win over Rob Lee at No. 1, Zeeshan Ismail defeated Mikko Rajamaki 6-4, 7-5 at No. 5 and Rodrigo Campos cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6.

The Guins have won six of their last seven matches.

YSU plays its final match in Louisiana on Wednesday when the Penguins take on Louisiana-Lafayette. The dual is set to start at 4 p.m.
