Penguins Return Home To Face LaSalle at BTC

The Youngstown State men's tennis team plays its first home match in almost a month as the Penguins take on LaSalle on Thursday afternoon at the Boardman Tennis Center. First serve is set for Noon at the BTC.

The Penguins (5-8) last played a match at the Tennis Center on February 17 when they defeated Bucknell. YSU is 2-2 at home this year. LaSalle is 2-8 this season and is coming off a 4-3 win at St. Bonaventure on Tuesday.

Bassem El Mekawi enters the contest with a four-match winning streak to lead YSU which has won three of its last five matches.

This is the first-ever contest between the Penguins and Explorers.

Of note, former Penguin women's tennis standout Margarita Sadovnikova is an assistant coach for the LaSalle men's program.
