Mitzel Remains Within Striking Distance at Horizon League Championships

freshman Allison Mitzel remained in the Horizon League
Championships medalist hunt while Sarah Heimlich made a move on day
two at the Mission Inn Resort.
Mitzel carded an 80 on Saturday and has a two-round total of 162.
She is tied for fourth just five back of Detroit's Lindsay Lammers.
She is four back of second and two behind third.
Heimlich was tied for 13th after the first round on Friday, but a
79 in the second round moved her up the leader board to seventh
place with a 166.
In the team race, YSU has a two-round total of 689 after a 339 in
the second round. YSU improved 11 shots from its opening round.
Butler leads with a 654 after the first two rounds. The Penguins
are nine shots back of Cleveland State for fourth and 10 behind
Loyola for third.
Freshman Aislynn Merling had an 88 and has a 179 for the event.
She is tied for 27th. Sana Khan is tied for 31st while Angela
Molaskey is 34th.
The final round is Sunday.
