The Youngstown State women's golf team will be competing in the Marietta Pioneer Classic at Lakeside Golf Course in Beverly, Ohio on Sunday and Monday.

This will be the third event of the spring season for the Penguins, who are coming off a third-place finish at the Seminole State Spring Break event on March 7.

The tournament will feature four other schools including the host Marietta, Adrian, Capital and Ohio Valley.

Head Coach Nate Miklos has announced that YSU's lineup will include Megan Creager, Kara Raines, Courtney Shutt and Tori Utrup.

Shutt is coming off a season-best, sixth-place finish at Seminole State Spring Break. The senior has placed in the top-12 and been YSU's top finisher on three occasions this season.

Creager is coming off a season-best, 12th-place finish at Seminole State and has now finished in the top-22 in four of the five stroke play events she has competed in this season.

Thoughts from Coach Miklos: "We are looking forward to returning to competition after a strong start to the spring. We are entering the final month leading up to the Horizon League Championships and I expect some big things from this team starting this weekend."

The field will play 18 holes in the first round on Sunday and return to play 18 more in the final round on Monday. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. ET each day.

The course will play approximately 6,318 yards and par will be 72. Results will be posted on GolfStat at the conclusion of each round.
