Soccer Falls to Saint Francis (Pa.), 3-0, on Sunday

Loretto, Pa. -- The Youngstown State women's soccer team fell to 1-1 overall after dropping a 3-0 decision to Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sunday afternoon at the Stokes Soccer Complex.

The Red Flash's Traci Flick put SFU on the board with a goal at the 22:20 mark for a 1-0 lead.

The score would remain at 1-0 until 81st minute when Tessa McKibbon put the Red Flash ahead, 2-0, and Haleigh Dunyon's goal at the 86:19 mark sealed the victory.

The Penguins collected eight shots but just three shots on goal. Cori Stark had a high of four shots while Geneva Strelka had two and freshman Allison Ludwig, who scored three goals in the season-opening win at Robert Morris on Friday, attempted one. Goalkeeper Nicole Kline had four saves.

With the win, Saint Francis improves to 2-0 on the year after opening the season against Duquense.

The Penguins visit IPFW, Thursday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. in Fort Wayne, Ind.
