Ypsilanti, Mich. -- Eastern Michigan's Nicole Remedios scored off a corner kick in the 81st minute as the Eagles held off the Youngstown State women's soccer team, 1-0, on Friday night at Scicluna Field.

The Penguins fall to 4-3 on the year while the Eagles improve to 2-3-1.

After a corner kick from Parys Kerr, Remedios gathered a loose ball and beat YSU goalkeeper Kylee Moffett on the near side. Moffett, though, turned in an outstanding performance in the net facing 18 total shots, seven shots on goal and collected six saves.

Eastern Michigan outshot the Penguins, 18-6, and the Penguins had just three shots on goal, all in the second half.
