Green Bay, Wis. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team defeated Green Bay 6-1 on Saturday night at the Western Racquet and Fitness Club. It was the fifth straight win for the Penguins, who are now 3-0 in the Horizon League.
The Penguins improve to 12-7 for the year while Green Bay is 2-19 and 1-3 in Horizon League play.
Sophomore Marta Burak picked up her school-record 22nd win of the year knocking off the Phoenix's Maria Anderson, 6-1, 6-0.
At No. 1 singles, Paula de Man continued her impressive season with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Amanda Timm to improve to 17-1 on the year.
The Penguins close out their Wisconsin conference swing when they play at Milwaukee on Sunday morning.
