Guins Drop 5-2 Decision at Cal State Northridge

Northridge, Calif. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Cal State Northridge on Tuesday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Courts.

YSU picked up a pair of wins during singles play. At No. 1, Noelly Longi Nsmiba beat Skyla Alcon 6-1, 6-2. At No. 5, Tamara Teufl beat Arpe Bagumyan 7-6, 6-4. The Matadors won three of the other four matches in straight sets. Imaan Hassim dropped a three-set decison at No. 4 singles.

In doubles play, Lucia Zagar and Cassandra Moraleja won 6-3 at No. 3. CSUN won the matches at No. 1 and No. 2 to claim the point.

The Penguins are next in action on March 17 when they visit Akron.
