Volleyball Announces Change to Saturday's Spring Tournament

The Youngstown State volleyball team has announced that this Saturday’s spring tournament on campus has been changed.

The Penguins will now host an eight-team tournament instead of having a field with six teams. Youngstown State will compete against Kent State, Ohio State, Cleveland State and Buffalo, and Robert Morris and Ashland will also be at the tournament.

Play begins at 10 a.m., and there will be a new round of competition beginning every 75 minutes. The final match is slated to begin at 4:15 p.m. Matches will be held in Beeghly Center and Stambaugh Stadium, and there will be free admission.

  • Stambaugh Stadium Court #2 - Ohio State vs. Cleveland State

11:15 a.m.

  • Beeghly Center - Ashland vs. Cleveland State
  • Stambaugh Stadium Court #1 - Akron vs. Kent State
  • Stambaugh Stadium Court #2 - Buffalo vs. Robert Morris

12:30 p.m.

  • Beeghly Center - Youngstown State vs. Ohio State
  • Stambaugh Stadium Court #1 - Ashland vs. Buffalo

1:45 p.m.

  • Beeghly Center Youngstown State vs. Cleveland State
  • Stambaugh Stadium Court #1 - Kent State vs. Robert Morris
  • Stambaugh Stadium Court #2 - Akron vs. Ohio State

3 p.m.
