YSU loses to Clarion, 154-89
Youngstown
--Youngstown State University divers
Mandie Smail and Kalyn Leveto earned
the only wins for the YSU swimming
and diving team in Saturday's loss
to Clarion University, 154-89. Smail
placed first in the 1-meter dive
event while Leveto earned first in
the 3-meter dive.
In the 50-yard freestyle, Lena Arens placed
second, 26.01, and Melissa Weise
took third, 26.25. Wiese also
competed in the 100-yard freestyle
event and placed second with a time
of 56.61. YSU's 200-yard freestyle
relay, Wiese, Erin Carter, April
Gellatly and Arens, finished in
second with a time of 1:45.24.
Carter finished the 100-yard
backstroke with a time of 1:05.05 to
place third.
The YSU swimming and diving team's last home meet
of the year will be Saturday, 1:00
p.m. against Niagara. The meet will
also be Senior Day. |
