YSU Defeats John Carroll, 162-75
Youngstown -- The YSU swimming and diving
team beat John Carroll, 162-75,
Wednesday in Beeghly Natatorium.
Junior Molly McAtee led the team and won both the
200-yard freestyle, 2:06.53, and the
100-yard freestyle, 58.27, and was
also a part of the winning 200-yard
medley relay, 2:02.67.
Freshman Erin Carter earned two wins
with a time of 1:04.39 in the
100-yard backstroke and a time of
2:21.50 in the individual medley.
In the 50-yard freestyle, freshman Missy Wiese
placed first with a time of 26.07.
Freshman Danielle Blagg dominated
the 100-yard breaststroke clocking
in at 1:17.06.
In the diving events, senior Brandi Goettsch won
the one-meter event with a score of
265.70 while junior Mandie Smail
earned first-place honors in the
three-meter event with a score of
252.95.
The YSU swimming and diving team will face
Hillsdale, Saturday, in Hillsdale,
Mich. |
