Records Fall in Day Two of Conference Championship
Chicago -- Junior Erin Carter broke
her own school record in the
200-yard individual medley and was
part of a record-setting relay group
in day two of the Horizon League
Swimming & Diving Championships.
Carter topped her record first in the preliminary round, then
topped it again in the final round
with a fifth-place time of 2
minutes, 11.15 seconds. She
also teamed up with Danielle Blagg,
Becky Bertuzzi and Lena Arens in the
400-yard medley relay to swim a
record-setting time of 4:05.33 to
break a record that stood for more
than 20 years.
Kalyn Leveto finished second in 1-meter diving with a
final-round score of 238.70 to
become YSU's top finisher in the two
days of the championship.
Lena Arens finished sixth in the 50-yard freestyle with a
time of 24.67 while Missy Wiese
finished 16th in 25.56. |
