Leveto Wins Twice at Ohio
Athens, Ohio -- Senior Kalyn Leveto
won both diving events as Youngstown
State fell 151-91 to Ohio in a dual
at the Ohio Aquatics Center on
Friday evening.
Leveto tallied a season-high 277.87 points in the 3-meter
board to win the event by more than
31 points and the 1-meter with a
score of 243.75.
Missy Wiese and Jordan Dunn also claimed victories as Wiese
won the 50-yard freestyle with a
time of 25.80 seconds while Dunn
took the top spot in the 500 free in
5:23.99.
Dunn also picked up a second-place finish in the 1,000 free
in 10:56.06 while Julia Darling
placed second in the 100-yard
breaststroke in 1:11.44. Becky
Bertuzzi rounded out the
second-place finishers with a time
of 2:01.81 in the 200 free.
Earning third-place finishes were Katy Malys in the 200 free
(2:04.00), Brittany Senn in the 50
free (26.30), Erin Carter in the
100-yard butterfly (1:01.52), Wiese
in the 100 free (56.82) and Danielle
Blagg in the 100 breast (1:12.27).
Bertuzzi, Senn, Sarah Porchak and Michelle Von Duhn earned
fourth-place finishes.
The Penguin divers will take on Clarion Sunday at 11 a.m.
while the entire squad will be back
in action on Friday at 5 p.m. as it
plays host to Cleveland State. |
