Williamson Breaks Two Records, Places Second in 100 Fly on
Third Day

-- Freshman Ashley Williamson
finished second in the 100-yard
butterfly with a school-record time
of 57.42 on day three of the Horizon
League Championships.
Williamson's time eclipsed Janet Kemper's previous record
that was set in 1985 by .01 seconds.
She also beat her own record in the
100 back that she set a day earlier
with a fifth-place time of 58.53.
The Penguins currently sit in fifth place with 207 points
ahead of Valparaiso (177), Cleveland
State (139) and Butler (103).
Sophomore Megan Rupe also nearly broke a school record in the
200 free with an 11th-place time of
1:55.70. That time ranks her third
in school history by just 0.59
seconds.
Natasha Bray placed ninth in the 400 IM (4:45.44), Hilary
Barrett finished two spots back in
11th (4:49.40) and Laura Hanley
placed 15th (4:56.00).
Julia Darling nearly missed her own school record in the 100
breast, placing 12th with a time of
1:08.88. Jennifer Johnstone added a
16th-place time of 1:09.85.
Brittany Senn added a 16th-place finish in the 100 fly with a
personal-best time of 1:00.83.
