Oct. 13, 2007 Red Squad Edges White, Three Seniors Named Team Captains
Youngstown -- Brittany Senn and Olivia Arnold won
two events apiece to lead the red squad to a narrow 102-97 victory over the
white team in Youngstown State's intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday morning.
Senn and fellow seniors Julia Darling and Amanda were also
named the team captains for the 2007-08 season that will get underway Friday at
the Tom Stubbs Relays.
Senn won the 50 free and 200 fly, and Arnold posted the top
times in the 500 free and 1,000
free. Both swimmers also swam in the
red team's first-place 400 medley
relay.
Freshman diver Sara Weigel added two wins and Jessica Front
won the 200 free for the red team.
Laura Hanley won the 200 breast and 200 IM to pace the white
team while Megan Rupe took first in
the 100 free and Natasha Bray was
first in the 200 back. Rupe and
Hanley teamed up with Leah Krout and
Alana Kane to win the 400 free
relay. |
