Hill, Roberts Pick Up Multiple Wins in Dual Meet at
Wright State

-- Freshmen Casey Hill and Sam
Roberts earned two individual wins
for the Youngstown State swimming
and diving team on Saturday in their
meet against Wright State. The
Penguins fell to the Raiders in a
154-88. YSU had a strong team effort
against WSU setting nine season-high
marks.
Hill finished
first in both the one-meter and the
three-meter diving events. She
posted a score of 224.77 in the
one-meter and a career-best 244.80
in the three-meter.
Roberts placed
first in the 200-yard IM with a time
of 2:18.77. She also topped the
100-yard breaststroke finishing
first with a time of 1:09.41.
Junior Alana
Kane and sophomores Kristin Walker
and Nishani Cicilson finished second
in their respective events. Kane
posted a time of 25.95 seconds in
the 50-yard freestyle, Walker
finished the 200-yard freestyle with
a time of 1:59.59 and Cicilson
finished the 100-yard backstroke at
1:02.52.
The Penguins
dive back in to action on Sunday,
Jan. 24, against Butler at Fishers,
Ind. The meet will feature five
schools. |
