Men's Tennis: Penguins Finish Fall Season

The Youngstown State men's tennis team completed its fall season
4-0 after beating Cleveland State
4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
The Penguins came out flat in doubles action dropping all
three matches, but battled back to
take four of six singles matches for
the win. All of the single matches
were won in three sets.
At No. 1 Tom Barth defeated Brad Groleski
3-6, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 2 Brian Meek defeated Eric
Winn 6-3, 6-4, in the No. 3 spot
Ryan Trapp beat Paul Haley 7-5, 3-6,
6-4, and at No. 4 Scott Kathery
downed Dan Singer 3-6, 7-5, 6-2.
The Penguins will open up their spring season on Saturday,
Jan. 22 at Toledo. |
