2007 Outdoor (Freshman): Placed fifth in the discus (133-6), eighth in the javelin (134-1) and 11th in the hammer (131-9) at the Horizon League Championships ... his marks in the discus and javelin were personal-bests ... posted a personal-best hammer distance of 132-4 at the Northeast Ohio Quad Meet ... earned four top-eight finishes in the javelin.

2006-07 Indoor (Freshman): Placed 12th in the weight throw at the Horizon League Championships (46-0) ... posted a personal-best mark of 46-8 in the weight throw a week earlier at the Kent State Tune-Up ... threw the shot put a personal-best 39-10 1/2 at the Findlay Open.

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner and team captain one year...set Ursuline's records for the discus (163 feet) and the high jump (6-3)...was a three-year regional qualifier, an SVC champion, a Mahoning County champion and a Diocesan champion...also played basketball at football for the Irish...graduated ranking 11th in his class.

Personal: Born Sept. 28, 1987...parents are Jerry and Paula Muir...has two brothers (Christopher and Justin)...major is biology/pre-med.
