Jarvis Named Horizon League Women's Track Athlete Week
Indianapolis -- Youngstown State
freshman Stephanie Jarvis (Canfield,
Ohio) has been named the Horizon
League Women's Track and Field
Athlete of the Week, the league
announced Tuesday.
Jarvis shattered
her own school record by 11 inches
in the pole vault with a mark of 10
feet, 11 3/4 inches Friday night at
the Kangaroo Invitational. That mark
also puts her atop the Horizon
League's top performances list by 4
3/4 inches.
Jarvis is the second YSU student-athlete to earn the weekly
honor in as many weeks as freshman
Darcelle Formby earned the award
last week. |
