Gillespie (Cleveland, Ohio) takes part in the 100-meter hurdles on Friday at 6 p.m. She is the only Penguin who will see action the first day of the two-day event. She is one of 31 competitors that are broken down into four heats. Gillespie will run in the third heat. She is coming off an impressive performance at the conference championships where she won the 100 in a school and meet-record time of 13.88 seconds.
