Five Reach Double Figures in
Five-Game Win Over West Virginia
Youngstown --
Five players recorded double figures
in kills and junior Ebony Barbosa
and freshman Abigail Drost each
posted double-doubles with 12 kills
and 10 digs to lead the Youngstown
State volleyball team (11-13) to a
31-29, 24-30, 31-29, 20-30, 15-12
win over West Virginia on Tuesday
evening at the Beeghly Center.
The Penguins
11th win marks the program's highest
total since recording 14 victories
during the 2000 season.
Senior Jessica
Fraley led the Penguins with 15
kills while Sophomore Ruth Boscaljon
posted 12 kills while classmate
Allison Heinz added 10 kills with
six blocks and a .318 hitting
percentage.
Junior setter
Karla Everhart tallied seven kills,
three blocks and dished out 50
assists.
