Tom Zetts, Jessica Fraley Named YSU Scholar Athletes of the Year

    Senior football player Tom Zetts and senior volleyball player Jessica Fraley were named the 2007-08 YSU Vindicator Scholar-Athletes of the Year on Thursday night at the Annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet. At the event a group of more than 150 student-athletes were honored for posting a cumulative grade-point average above 3.0. Release

Fraley Posts 1,000th Career Kill in 3-0 Quarterfinal Loss to Cleveland State
  Milwaukee, Wis.  --  Youngstown State senior Jessica Fraley became the ninth player in school to record 1,000 career kills after posting 16 kills in a 17-30, 31-33, 24-30 loss to Cleveland State in the quarterfinals of the 2007 Horizon League Volleyball Championship at the Klotsche Center.

No. 7 YSU Takes on No. 2 Cleveland State in Quarterfinals
      Youngstown  -- The Youngstown State volleyball team (12-17, 5-11 Horizon League) earned the seventh seed in the upcoming Horizon League Championship and will take on No. 2 seed Cleveland State, Friday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. EDT. This will be the third time this season and the second time in less than a week the Penguins and Vikings have squared off. Release | Notes
Fraley Named to Horizon League Volleyball All-League Team
 

     Indianapolis, Ind.  --  Youngstown State senior right-side hitter Jessica Fraley (LaGrange, Ohio )was named to the 2007 Horizon League Volleyball All-League Team, the league announced on Thursday.
     Fraley, who was a 2004 Horizon League All-Newcomer Team selection, ranks fifth on the YSU single-season kills list with 411 kills and needs 12 more to move into fourth place. Release
