Buzek, Cicero Lead YSU at All-Ohio Championship
Delaware, Ohio -- Nick Buzek
finished 42nd to lead the Youngstown
State men's cross country team to an
11th-place finish at the All-Ohio
Championship Friday.
Buzek covered the 8K course at Ohio Wesleyan in 27:03.5 while
Emily Cicero finished 29th with a 5K
time of 19:22.2 to pace the women's
squad.
Dave Mealy was YSU's second finisher with a 53rd-place time
of 27:28.4 while Nick Kruse finished
59th with a time of 27:38.1. Nick
Smith placed 75th in 27:53.0, and
freshman Dan Nemergut scored for the
first time in his college career
with a 125th-place time of 28:32.9.
On the women's side, Gina Mavrikis finished 97th with a time
of 20:24.1 while Marielle Glanz
placed 175th in 21:54.1. Freshman
Amy Moore finished 226th with a time
of 23:35.6, and Debbie Breunig
placed five places back with a time
of 23:39.4.
The Penguins will compete at the Penn State Invitational on
Oct. 15. |
